Glacier Medical Associates notifies Individuals of Data Security Incident
Whitefish, Montana – June 3, 2021 – Glacier Medical Associates (“GMA”), is a multi-disciplinary medical practice, located in Montana. On April 7, 2021, GMA detected and stopped a data security incident.
GMA immediately engaged third-party forensic specialists to assist GMA with securing the network environment, and to conduct a comprehensive investigation as to the extent of any unauthorized activity. This forensic investigation concluded on May 10, 2021.
GMA has found no evidence that specific individuals’ information has been misused. However, due to the compromise of GMA’s network, GMA has notified all potentially affected individuals of this incident.
As of this writing, GMA has not received any reports of related identity theft since the date of the incident (April 7, 2021).
GMA mailed notification letters to potentially affected individuals on June 3, 2021, which included additional information about what occurred, outlined the specific personal information that could have been exposed for that individual, and provided a toll-free number that individuals can call to learn more about the incident. The call center, managed by IDX, can be reached at 1-833-406-2403, and is available Monday through Friday between 7 am and 7 pm Mountain Time.
